# You Were Slain - Fabric 26.2 port
|
|
|
|
Target: Minecraft 26.2 / Fabric / Java 25 / client-only.
|
|
|
|
## Port changes
|
|
- Migrated build from Yarn-era Loom to Fabric Loom 1.17 and Minecraft 26.2 unobfuscated/Mojang names.
|
|
- Java target raised from 17 to 25; Gradle wrapper points to 9.5.1.
|
|
- Updated Fabric Loader/API, Mod Menu, and YACL dependencies for 26.2.
|
|
- Updated `fabric.mod.json` and mixin compatibility to Java 25 / Minecraft 26.2.
|
|
- Ported `DeathScreen` mixin to the 26.2 constructor (`Component, boolean, LocalPlayer`).
|
|
- Ported GUI extraction to `GuiGraphicsExtractor` and modern `Button` widgets.
|
|
- Ported sound/resource identifiers and registry names to 26.2 names.
|
|
- Adapted compile.bat/release.bat/test.bat; test.bat runs only the client.
|
|
|
|
## Build verification note
|
|
This workspace only provides Java 21 and has no outbound DNS for Gradle dependency downloads. Minecraft 26.2 requires Java 25, so the final Gradle compile could not be executed in this environment. Run `compile.bat` on Windows with JDK 25 installed; it downloads Gradle 9.5.1 itself.
|
|
|
|
## 2.0.1+26.2 compile-fix pass
|
|
- Replaced removed `Options.hideGui` access with the 26.2 `Gui.hud.isHidden()/toggle()` API.
|
|
- Updated quit-to-title flow to the 26.2 `Minecraft.disconnect(Screen, boolean)` signature.
|
|
- Replaced removed `LocalPlayer.displayClientMessage` with `sendSystemMessage`.
|
|
- Replaced removed static `Screen.hasShiftDown()` with `Minecraft.hasShiftDown()`.
|
|
- Removed direct calls to private `GuiGraphicsExtractor.componentHoverEffect` and removed obsolete `StringSplitter.componentStyleAtWidth` usage. Death-reason text remains rendered; its old hover-style lookup is disabled for this compatibility pass.
|
|
|
|
|
|
## 2.0.2+26.2
|
|
|
|
- Overrides Fabric Loader 0.19.3 bundled MixinExtras 0.5.4 with MixinExtras 0.5.5.
|
|
- Fix targets the runtime `FactoryRedirectWrapperMixinTransformer` `ClassCastException` seen during `runClient` on Minecraft 26.2.
|
|
- No You Were Slain gameplay behavior was intentionally changed in this patch.
|
|
|
|
|
|
## 2.0.3+26.2
|
|
|
|
- Updated Fabric Loader development/runtime dependency from 0.19.3 to 0.19.5.
|
|
- Removed the ineffective direct MixinExtras override from the mod dependencies.
|
|
- Fabric Loader 0.19.5 supplies the updated MixinExtras runtime directly.
|
|
- Raised the minimum Fabric Loader dependency in `fabric.mod.json` to 0.19.5.
